Cape Men's Yoga & Meditation - 17 May 2015

This past Sunday we worked with a Yin Yoga practice. Yin is all about staying still, finding peace in a contemplative, motionless, gravity driven asana. The mind may want to leap around, but the anchored body is our place of focus, our refuge, our point of concentration. We can concentrate on the discomfort and pierce that with our mind, or we can let go of that worry and focus on the larger context of comfort and peace. The choice is ours.

In this week's class we move in the opposite direction - it is all about how flow of the body and its energy lines creates a steady peaceful focus on the mind.

Join us this week for a vinyasa flow yoga class where we integrate elements of t'ai chi movement, balancing, breath-work - with the aim of finding serenity within a natural flow of the body's ability to move.

We run an all nude men's voluntary yoga space. Men of all backgrounds and abilities welcome. Beginners step on up to your first class. Donations are welcome.
