Start the year in a focussed state - Yin Yoga - Sunday 3 January 2016

There will still be Christmas cake to consume, friends to see, braais to attend and various other summer treats - hopefully including some time outdoors as the weather starts to heat up.

Whatever your traditions or faith, we hope you have been enjoying your holiday period and able to experience of positive energy of friends, family, and the spirit of generosity and sharing.

We will have our first men's nude yoga class of the year on Sunday 3 January 2016 at 10.00 at our usual venue in central Cape Town. We'll be doing some meditation work and a yin yoga class. Yin is a special form of yoga which is done very slowly and without using muscular energy. It is an introspective style where the positions are held for five minutes or more.

It is believed that this style is stimulating for the immune system, a good recovering practice, as well as allows deep feelings to process and for the mind to find great focus and stillness. What better way to enter into 2016 than with attention to your inner world?

As we approach the year of the Fire Tiger, you may want to balance that energy with a focussed chi, a focussed mind, an ability to navigate the unpredictable with clear site and a steady hand. Life is abundant but it also has its curve balls. Yoga is great for the days when all is going well and you feel strong and fresh; it is even more important when things are hectic and you need to balance yourself.

We are also approaching our Summer Retreat / Dance of Life, 28 - 31 January 2016. We highly recommend that those coming on retreat up their yoga practice to get their stamina to a good level.

Bring you mat and your mind. A water bottle can be helpful. We have additional mats for visitors. Payment is on a voluntary basis.
