Yoga for your back

We are having a special class this week focussed on back problems and the use of yoga. 

The human back is an incredible piece of natural architecture. At the same time it was designed for ancestors who were moving between all fours and hindlegs. As a result, the modern human spine takes more pressure than almost any other mammal. Modern lifestyle - sitting, typing, driving - can all contribute to back problems. 

Problems can include spinal curvature issues, strained muscles, posture problems, spinal damage or pinched nerves. 

Yoga can play an important role in correcting scoliosis, kiphosis and weak lumbar muscles. It can stimulate spinal connections and joints. It can help prevent common spinal and musclar injuries. In some cases it can help deal with pinched nerves - though it can also cause nerve problems if not handled carefully. 

This class explores different yoga movements to improve your back's health and resilience, deal with back problems and work more mindfully to keep the back out of trouble. 

Weekly naked yoga for real men - that is, men interesting in knowing themselves inside and out. Cape Town southern suburbs venue.
