Last class of 2016 - come and share Dear yoga brothers,  Sunday 18 December 2016 is our last Cape Men's Yoga class of the year. We will be having our usual fun vinyasa class with meditation time. In this end of year class we will be doing some partnered team asanas. This is a good way to deepen your practice while also keeping your hearts open and connected.  Naked men's yoga - for the mind, the body and the spirit. Cape Men's Yoga & Meditation - Mysore Hatha Yoga Flow Class - 26 April 2015

Duncan has just returned from his advanced teacher training course in Mysore, India. This week he will be offering up a feast of yoga teaching.  This week we will be following a Hatha Flow class This is more dynamic, using a vinyasa sequence in between each asana. This flow is gentle, light but equally as powerful as the Hatha sequence we normally follow. Complete beginners to advanced practitioners are welcome to these classes.  We follow the eight limbs of yoga, particularly as it relates to Patanjali’s Sutras. Patanjali was a great yoga teacher who collected up the essence of yoga teaching in a collected set of sutras or short chapters. This means that asana (postures) are just one of eight tools to lead us to internal bliss. Asana - the yoga movement - together with breath, helps us to relax the mind and become better focused for meditation. Yoga helps us to become calmer and more compassionate people.  All you need is an open mind and open heart. Bring a mat, towe...
