Cape Men's Yoga & Meditation - Sunday 11 October 2015

Cape Men's Yoga & Meditation on Sunday 11 October 2015

Summer is coming guys!

Yoga is mostly about the mind, but we know that having a fit body is good for many reasons. For October, we'll be working with ashtanga vinyasa flow styles to get some strength building up in different parts of the body and breaking a sweat in class.

Sean got us started at the beginning of October with a measured strong ashtanga-vinyasa class. Nigel will take this forward in this week's class, continuing to explore the full expression of the Sun Salutations and working with standing postures, balances and upper body strength.

Yoga can be started at any age. If you have substantial issues such as injuries, medical conditions or major weight issues, a regular class may not be appropriate for you. There are yoga therapists in Cape Town. Whatever your requirements are the practice has many variations which are there to assist you.

For most guys, our class works well. It is athletic and meditative, uses breath-work and qualified teaching to help you improve strength, flexibility and a better understanding of the mind-body relationship. Naked yoga takes that a step further - helping us really get to know our bodies, accepting where we find ourselves and then bringing about transformation through our practice. It is a fellowship and a journey.

Many people who want to get fit, head off to gym. Yoga is usually associated with needing something that goes deeper, something that brings peace. Yoga is designed and has been practiced for thousands of years to bring body, mind and spirit into a state of well-being. Yoga strengthens the body and helps eliminate the build up of stress elements - both the sensations of anxiety and stress, as well as the chemical impacts this has on our body and mind.

If you are looking for an authentic practice of well-being and fitness, we welcome you to strip down and get on the mat with us.

Remember not to eat 2 hours before class. Bring you sweat towel and a water bottle, along with a mind ready to concentrate on the practice. Whatever your fitness level, join us for the practice and work along your edge.

10.00 start time. No late-comers can access our venue. Send us an sms, whatsapp or email for venue details.

If you have any injuries or medical issues please check with your medical advisor and inform the instructor in advance. At your own risk but we'd like to see you avoid any injuries.
