Dance of Life: Cape Men's Yoga Summer Retreat 28 - 31 January 2016

Welcome to our 8th biannual

Cape Men's Yoga retreat.

We are again preparing for our Cape Men's Yoga Retreat at Bodhi Khaya near Gansbaai. This is our summer retreat. It is four days and three nights long: 28 to 31 January 2016.

The weekend involves various forms of yoga (hatha, vinyasa, kundalini and yin), meditational instruction and creative projects, as well as pure enjoyment of the natural environment. Note that BK is NOT a nudist centre - only the yoga is done entirely nude throughout the weekend.

To reserve a room, kindly deposit R800 per person into our account. This information is available by email. Please send a confirmation to me on my mobile 0825796868 or by email to capemensyoga AT gmail.com

Final deadline for deposits is 10 October 2015.

Deposits are in principle non-refundable. If you have shift work or unclear work responsibilities, contact us to ask to be on the tentative accommodation list. After the cut off date or when we are full we cannot accommodate late requests.

The rooms are first come / first reserve. Once you have paid your deposit you will be allocated a room. Please indicate if you have a preference. There are double rooms, twins, single monk rooms and the dorms. There is one cottage with a self-catering kitchen. Room prices vary. On average, for a shared twin room I am expecting the retreat to cost about R2400 per person. It depends how many people attend.

The final price is influenced by how many people attend and your choice of room. This is a non-profit voluntary initiative. The venue rental fee is split between us and teachers get subsidies.

As always, this is a co-created event with various teachers and creative experiences. We are working with a theme of sacredness and awakening through movement - life as the dance of creation, destruction and liberation.

We are likely to have some dedicated massage work as part of a programme of yoga asana, meditation and nature experience. The retreat is not for total beginners, you have to have some yoga practice already underway.

As always, we respect your personal journey, your spiritual tradition, beliefs and priorities. Catering is fully vegetarian. There is no alcohol or drugs on the weekend - detox and back to basics.

Please contact capemensyoga AT gmail.com  if you have any questions.

Namaste,

 From Four Quartets: T.S. Eliot:

At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;

Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,

But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,

Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,

Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,

There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.
I can only say, there we have been: but I cannot say where.

And I cannot say, how long, for that is to place it in time.
The inner freedom from the practical desire,

The release from action and suffering, release from the inner

And the outer compulsion, yet surrounded

By a grace of sense, a white light still and moving,

We do not own any of the photos. If these belong to you and you wish to have them removed, please advise us. This is a non profit voluntary initiative.
