Cape Men's Nude Yoga & Meditation Sunday 25 January 2015

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO CLASS ON SUNDAY 1 FEBRUARY AS WE ARE ON A WEEKEND RETREAT IN THE OVERBERG.

Our next class is Sunday 25 January 2015

This week in the lead up to our Retreat, Duncan will be teaching a gentle yet powerful Hatha practice. Hatha yoga is probably one of the oldest forms of the physical aspect of yoga. Ha mean sun and tha means moon - hence ha-tha is the balancing of our solar and lunar energies, the divergence of our consciousness and capacity, bringing intuition and reason back into harmony.

Hatha refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose so a kind of yin and yang.

Hatha is a slower form of yoga whereby you hold the posture for roughly 5 breaths. By doing so you have lots of time to work on your alignment and take yourself deeper into the asana. By combining the body and the breath, as the practice develops, your mind becomes calmer and clearer and you are able to enter into a deep meditation.

The classes are run by voluntary yoga teachers. We ask you for a donation for the use and upkeep of this wonderful facility.

All you need is your mat, a sweat town, bottle of water and an open heart. There are mats, blocks and straps at the centre for your use

If you would like further info, please email; capemensyoga AT gmail.com ; You can telephone me on 0842948309.

Class is at our city venue, contact us for the details. We start at 10.00 on Sunday and the door is locked at that time, so please ensure you are there before ten to avoid disappointment.
